    Offered for your consideration is a vintage
    PARKER
    Big Red
    ballpoint pen, made in the USA c.1978.  This later version, lacking the chrome-plated cap bottom band and black plastic barrel top, is unusual in that
    it doesn’t have PARKER stamped anywhere
    , only BIG RED and USA on the chrome clip that rests upon a light blue cap/barrel.  I’ve seen a same color, overseas-made Big Red with only “AD PEN” on the clip—a promo for Baxter pharmaceuticals—but never a domestic-manufactured one such as this.
    So, please have a look at my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this splendid and possibly uncommon PARKER Big Red pen should join your collection.
    This PARKER Big Red pen is in clean, excellent condition.  The pen measures 5½” long (just under 5¾” with cap posted) by a hand-filling ½” at its widest not including the tasteful vintage-style PARKER clip.  There are no chips, cracks, or scratches, just some very light signs of use from the years.  Plus, the clip rests firm on the cap with no gap and the cap screws tight to the barrel with no play.  Overall, this Big Red is in really great shape!
    In addition, this Big Red comes with PARKER’s Jotter ballpoint refill with front/rear spacer adapters to make it fit perfectly.  The installed PARKER medium point blue refill is still writing, and, as you probably know, PARKER ballpoint cartridges have been the same for 65+ years and are available just about anywhere pens are sold.  Lastly, the Big Red has excellent balance, ample mass, and feels great on paper—you’ll really like the way it writes!
    So, as pictured and described, this remarkable PARKER Big Red pen is offered at a competitive price.
