RARE 1961 TECTONIC MAP OF UNITED STATES, USGS/AAPG 4 color sheets 1:2500000####

Description

TECTONIC MAP OF THE UNITED STATES, Exclusive of Alaska and Hawaii (not yet part of the Union at time of publication).  USGS and AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF PETROLEUM GEOLOGISTS, 1961, color legends at corners, 4 sheets measuring about 27” H by 37” W each. Color. Scale 1:2500000.  See above condition report for defects.  As to formal margins:  NE sheet has north, east and west margins;  SE sheet has west, south and east margins.  NW sheet has only a north margin.  SW sheet has only a south margin.  This is the condition the map was in when I got it.  You will need a big section of wall, a good eye and more than two hands to match the edges.  Black spots at corners are bean bags to hold maps flat.
This is a RARE map—I found only one version of this map for sale online, a newer, single sheet version available in various sizes, none of which are the size of the original.  Will be mailed by priority rate, in heavy cardboard tube.  Insurance extra—let me know if you want it.  Earthquake.  Fault line.
