A GFCI outlet is different from conventional outlets. In the event of a ground fault, our GFCI will trip and quickly stop the flow of electricity to prevent serious injury.
Reversed Wiring Prevention
To prevent the GFCI protection being disabled by reversed wiring, there will be no power at the GFCI outlet and downstream if the LINE / LOAD is miswired. (in this case the green LED light won’t be OFF)

Patented Self Test Every 5 Seconds

Tamper resistant shutters to keep children from electrocution, making your home a safer place. Shutter mechanism inside the receptacle blocks access to the contacts unless a two-or-three-prong plug is inserted, helping ensure hairpins, keys, etc., can't be inserted in.
Please note:
Tamper resistant receptacles have a safety gate in the outlet to prevent unwanted objects being inserted. The outlet can be a bit difficult to plug into the first few times. This will become easier after long-time use.
