Antique/Vintage Scottish Sterling & Agate Thistle Brooch. Hallmarked sterling silver thistle motif brooch with a round cabochon

Hallmarks are the makers HW&S ( H Wright & Son?), a Thistle (indicates Sterling), a Triple Towered Castle (Edinburgh Town Office - ((place of assay)) and the date mark - it is either the letter "B" or a the letter "D" - if it is a "B" (due to its styling) it would be from 1907; if it is a letter "D" (due to its styling) it would be from1959. Since the makers mark is HW&S, we are assuming the date mark is most likely a letter "D" which would date this brooch to 1959.
