    Description

Antique 1886’s EAPG Uranium Glass Adam’s & Co. Daisy & Button Goblet.
This EAPG pattern was manufactured by Adams & Company, Pittsburgh, PA in 1886, It was reissued by the United States Glass Company Pittsburgh, PA in 1891. Made in non-flint glass in the colors of amber, blue, clear, green and Vaseline. It can also be found in amber or ruby stain. Known by several names, daisy and button w/thumbprint panel, daisy and button w/amber stripes and daisy and button w/thumbprint.
This lovely Vaseline glass goblet is the daisy and button w/thumbprint pattern consisting of four panels of daisies and deep pressed stars, rather than the usual hobnails, and four thumbprint panels each containing five thumbprints. The flared round base consists of four daisy and star panels separated with clear Vaseline panels, and the stem consists of two round knobs, the bottom knob has a distinct delicate band of tiny thumbprints. This feature is not present on the later reproductions of this goblet pattern. The goblet measures 6 1/8" in height, 3 1/4" across the top and 3 1/8" across the base. There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
