  • Condition: The castor set is in very good overall condition with some chipping on the under side of the base holes and only a few small nicks on the underside of the base rim. The bottles were created using the stuck-up method and have unfinished rims. The balance of the bottles are free of chips, cracks and fleabites, including the shoulders which are frequently damaged. The glass is wonderfully clear and free of cloudiness, except some light mineral deposits in the bottom of the larger mouth shaker and cruet. The cruet stopper is a perfect fit, but may not be original (many different stopper designs have been called original). The mustard, sifter and shaker tops are original and in great condition for their age. The castor handle is in good condition with age appropriate wear and patina.

Shaker Bottle, Sifter Top - 5" high with the lid

    • Condition: The base has light chipping around the underside of the bottle holes, common to the pattern. The underside of the rim has some light rough spots and a few minor nicks, none effecting the shape. The underside is free of damage and there are no cracks, both common issues. Castor bases can be found with 2 different designs in the recess; plant or cross bars. This base has the plant design.
All the bottles are free of chips, cracks and fleabites, however the bottles were created using the stuck-up method leaving rough and unfinished rims underneath the lids.
The glass is wonderfully clear and free of cloudiness, except some slight mineral deposits in the bottom of the larger mouth shaker and cruet. The bottles all have concave (recessed) panels.
The cruet stopper is a perfect fit, but may not be original, we've seen many different stopper designs on paragon sets in different colors and all have been called original. The mustard, shaker and sifter tops are original and in great condition for their age. The castor handle is in good condition with age appropriate wear and patina. The hardware on the underside appears original.
It's a fantastic set and in excellent condition overall. It will make a superb addition to an EAPG collection or on it's own.
